Handcrafted in small batches, Mama Chee’s postpartum herbal foot soak, inspired by traditional Chinese medicine, is thoughtfully blended with dried mugwort, dried ginger peel, dried angelica root, dried rosebuds, dried tangerine peel and dried cinnamon to create a calming and comforting self-care ritual during the first year after giving birth.
Each sachet can be used in whatever way feels most comforting to you. In addition to its benefits as a foot soak, place a sachet directly into a warm bath, or keep a bowl of the warm herbal water nearby in the shower and use a soft cloth to gently wipe the body. You can even pour the warm, strained herbal water through your hair as a final rinse—a lovely option during the traditional postpartum “month of sitting” if you’re worried about cold and wet hair. However, you use it, think of it as a simple little ritual of warmth, rest and care during postpartum recovery.
The sachets are made of cotton muslin and along with the herbs and packaging are all compostable.
Do not use while pregnant.
Reusing Your Foot Soak
Each sachet can be enjoyed more than once. After your first soak, remove the herbal bag, gently squeeze out excess water, and store it in the refrigerator in a sealed container.
For a second soak, simply place the bag back into hot water and allow the herbs to steep again. Your second soak will be milder and more delicate than the first, making it a lovely way to extend your foot-soak ritual.
For the fullest herbal experience, enjoy the first soak when the herbs are freshly steeped. Reuse within 1–2 days and discard after your second soak.
